New features

Share links for invoices

• We've added a share link to every invoice so you can send an invoice in whichever communication method you use for certain members. While email is still the primary option, every invoice now has a shareable link so you can WhatsApp/iMessage/Facebook Messenger the link to your heart's content. Simply click on the invoice you want to share, click the Options dropdown and select Share link. Copy the link and paste it wherever you want. It's that simple.

Unpaid report Beta

• We've added a simple report in the sidebar that allows you to see every outstanding invoice in one table. This feature is currently in Beta so there is more to come, but for now you can export the list to work with in Excel. If there is anything you would like to be able to do from this view, please don't hesitate to let us know and we'll consider adding it to our roadmap.

• We've added a message to the Pings email that gets sent out to let your member know that the link is unique to them and not to share it
• We've fixed an issue where the filter on the Recipients tab on an invoice was showing the incorrect filter name, even though the correct filter was applied.
• We've also fixed an issue where the club's groups were not showing when first logging in.
• The Ping End date is now set to the date the Ping ended, not the day after.
• We've fixed an issue where the invoices index table would sometimes show an incorrect amount outstanding.

Fixes and improvements

• We’ve supercharged member imports. Now when you upload your spreadsheet, you can choose the worksheet that contains your members. We also strip out any rows that don’t contain a valid member, and also provide you with a download of any errors that exist so you can quickly sort them out before importing again.
• Goodbye loading spinners! We’ve speeded up page load times and replaced the spinner with page outlines. Not only does this look better, but it makes the system perform better.
• Fixed a validation issue when creating a Ping, so if you go over the character count limit you can’t continue. Now your members will see exactly what you wanted them to see.
• Fixed an issue with the payment status dropdown on the Invoices index, so now when you select Owed and Overdue, we don’t show you Paid as well!
• When you add a new team member, if that person is also a member (or pays for a member), we now link the accounts so they can see all their payments too.
• Fixed some mobile Safari issues on iOS 15 so now your members will have a better experience.
• Improvements to how and when Pings expire.

Email deliverability notifications

• We’ve taken email deliverability to the next level in this update! Just like on social media, now whenever you send invoices to your members, you’ll see a familiar grey tick so you know that we’ve sent it. When you see a grey double tick, you’ll know that it’s been delivered. When you see a blue double tick, you’ll know that the member has clicked the link and seen your invoice. We always included this information in the notes section of the invoice, but now you’ll see it in tables where you see the invoices as well.

• We’ve added the Email issues table to each invoice page when there is an email issue you need to resolve, rather than just on the dashboard.
• We’ve also included more information in the Email issues table like the group the member is in along with details of the issue.
• We've given the Dashboard a sleeker look by limiting the number of Overdue invoices and Active Pings visible in the tables. Clicking View all now takes you to the either index showing all overdue invoice or active Pings where you can export the information as usual.
• When fixing the email issue, the outstanding invoices get sent automatically now rather than giving you the option to resend.
• Updating a member’s invalid email from their member page now clears the errors when the change has been made rather than after a page refresh.
• We’ve fixed the export function on the invoice page so that the member name and email address now get included in the export.
• We’ve made improvements to duplicating an invoice, you now get taken to the new invoice rather than stay on the invoice you duplicated.
• We’ve fixed an issue where credits weren’t being listed on an invoice reminder, so it appeared that the member owed more money than they actually did.
• Payout emails now include a link to the actual payout rather than the payout index, so you can go straight to it from your email.
• We’ve removed Email opened activity from Activity & notes due to unreliability issues. Don’t worry, we still record every time the member clicks the link to view the invoice.
• Members can now be added to invoices when they have an invalid email address, although the invoice won’t be sent until the email issue is resolved.

Free trial volume credits

• Try Payzip completely - for free! New clubs can collect up to £100 by card (including Apple Pay / Google Pay). We’ll pay the service and processing fees for you, meaning you can see if Payzip is right for your club, risk-free! If you’re an existing club, don’t worry we’ve applied the credit to your account too 😃

• We’ve added a label to indicate when your available balance is below the minimum payout amount of £10.00.
• We’ve also removed the minimum payout amount from your first payout.
• When you try and send an email to address that doesn’t exist anymore, the Invalid emails table has now been moved higher up on the dashboard so it’s the first thing you see when you log in.
• If you have a member account, we now calculate your stats on all the clubs you are a member of, not just the first club.
• We’ve updated some of the language used in our emails to better reflect the recent changes we’ve made to the system.

New onboarding flow

• We’ve improved the onboarding flow for new users, making it much easier to understand the next steps when signing up for the first time. You will now be signposted to either; create a new club if you’re part of the club administration and want to use Payzip to collect money from your members; earn money by recommending clubs to Payzip through our affiliate programme or simply signing up as a member if you want to view a history of your club invoices.

• We’ve shortened the url for Pings, so now they look better but work exactly the same.
• The reminder lock timer has been reduced from 3 hours to 30 minutes. This is still long enough to stop you inadvertently bombarding your members with reminders.
• When you add a note to a Ping, we now show the note icon to let you know there is a note attached to a member’s response.
• We’ve added a warning when accidentally clicking off the Create Ping window which should stop you losing any unsaved changes.
• We’ve updated the support Beacon to be page aware now, so it will show you relevant articles depending on the page your are currently on.
• When you, or a member of your admin team, edits an invoice, we now add that to the Activity & notes section of the invoice.
• Any invoices that have been customised from the original now have a Custom label to help them stand out from the others.

Credits

• Sometimes you will have sent an invoice to a member and for whatever reason that invoice is no longer going to be paid. Rather than let it sit there and mess up your figures, you can now add a credit to the invoice which will clear the balance and remove it from your list of outstanding invoices. You can also add a credit to an invoice that has manual payments listed against it. For more information about credits, check out the knowledgebase.

Support

• We’ve added the knowledgebase directly into Payzip, so you can access it from anywhere within the system. It’s also context aware, so you can access the help docs you need when you need them. You can also chat directly with us when we’re around to help.

Fixes and improvements

• We’ve replaced the omni-plus button with a Quick add drawer (it’s now yellow and located on the right-hand side of the screen). This gives you quick access to some of the main features of Payzip. Give it a try!
• We’ve added line breaks to the comments and footer sections of the invoice, so your messaging appears how you intended.
• We’ve made some tweaks to the way we handle discounts to make them work as you’d expect.
• We’ve added the ability to filter your members by those who are not in a group where you see the group filter.
• We’ve improved the way we handle deleting and editing invoices.
• We’ve improved the messaging that appears when trying to view invoices on older devices.
• We’ve reduced the minimum amount of an online payment to £0.50 and now warn you when the remaining balance is below this on an invoice.
• You can now create an invoice or a Ping with an emoji in the title. Yay!

Discounts

• When creating an invoice for the first time, you can now add a discount by inserting a line item with minus amount. You can do this to the main invoice batch or to an individual invoice when you get to the customisation step. This is a great way to add a discount to an invoice and let the member know they have received their discount when they get the invoice. • You can now preview Pings as a member so you can see what your members will see when you’ve created a Ping.

• When we approve your club account, we now tell you the rate that has been applied to your account in the confirmation email.
• We’ve moved group settings from settings in the sidebar and given them their own top-level place, which makes it easier for you to find.
• You can now bulk delete members from your member list rather than having to delete each one individually.
• We’ve added the ability to duplicate an invoice that you’ve previously created. Currently this is just the wording used in Step 1 but expect more improvements to follow in future releases.
• Clicking Create club on the member dashboard now tells you what to expect when creating a club.
